The Moon Card Explained: Trusting Your Intuition in Tough Times

Welcome back to another Tarot Tuesday, where we dive into the cards, sit with their messages, and figure out how to apply them to real life. This week, The Moon made an appearance, and honestly, it couldn’t have been more fitting.

The Moon is a card of mystery, intuition, and the subconscious. It represents uncertainty, illusions, and the hidden forces that shape our emotions and decisions. When this card shows up, it’s a sign that things aren’t as clear as they seem. It asks us to pay attention to what’s beneath the surface—fears we haven’t faced, truths we might be avoiding, or patterns we’re repeating without realizing it.

This card doesn’t give easy answers. Instead, it challenges us to sit with the discomfort of not knowing and trust that clarity will come in its own time.

A Season of Uncertainty

Lately, I’ve felt like I’m walking through fog. My creativity—usually my most reliable outlet—has hit a wall. Writing feels forced. My spiritual practices, which normally keep me grounded, have been inconsistent. Even my tarot deck has been sitting untouched.

This creative block started around the same time I accepted a new corporate job. I start in a few days, and while I’m not against going back to a structured 9-to-5, it’s not the path I had envisioned for myself. I wanted to sustain my business and write full-time. Now, I’m stepping into something that feels like a detour, and I can’t help but wonder if I’m abandoning the life I truly want or simply taking a necessary step toward it.

Since receiving the offer, my creative energy has disappeared. My website traffic is dropping. Every time I sit down to write, my mind goes blank. It’s as if my subconscious is resisting this change, and I don’t know whether to fight through it or listen to what it’s trying to tell me.

The Moon’s Message: Sit With the Shadows

The Moon is a reminder that confusion isn’t a dead end—it’s an invitation. It’s a call to pause, reflect, and explore what’s happening beneath the surface.

I don’t have all the answers right now. I don’t know if this job will stifle my creativity or if it will be the stability I need to keep building my dreams. I don’t know if this is a setback or a setup for something greater.

What I do know is that fear thrives in uncertainty, and my job right now isn’t to make everything make sense. It’s to sit with the discomfort without letting it control me. To trust my intuition, even when I can’t see the full picture.

Love, Career, and Finance Under The Moon

In Love: The Moon often signals confusion, miscommunication, or hidden emotions. If something feels off in a relationship, trust that feeling, but don’t rush to conclusions. Clarity will come, but for now, focus on honest communication and self-reflection.

In Career: This card suggests a lack of clarity in work or purpose. If you’re feeling lost or uncertain, don’t force a decision just yet. There are unseen factors at play. Pay attention to what your intuition is telling you, even if it doesn’t make sense yet.

In Finances: Be cautious with money matters. The Moon warns of hidden details, unclear agreements, or financial illusions. Read the fine print before making major decisions, and don’t let fear-based thinking drive your choices.

Finding Clarity in the Unknown

Even in this fog, there are moments of reassurance. I was able to read for my best friend the today, even when my own deck felt like a foreign language to me. That reminded me that my intuition is still there, even if it feels distant.

The Moon teaches that some answers reveal themselves only when we stop demanding them. Some paths only become clear after we’ve started walking. So for now, I’m choosing to trust the process. To keep moving forward, even without knowing exactly where I’m headed.

Until next Tarot Tuesday, may we all find the courage to navigate the shadows and trust that the light will meet us on the other side.
